GleeWork Services
GleeWork does excavation and grading in-house — skid steer, box blade, and DitchWitch trencher. Site prep, leveling, slope correction, and pad preparation across Crossville and Cumberland County.
In-House
We own and operate our own skid steer and DitchWitch — no subcontractors, no markup on equipment, no scheduling delays waiting on a third party.
Lower Cost
Because we do our own earthwork, excavation costs are built into your project rather than subcontracted out at a premium. You pay less for the same result.
One Crew
The same team that digs the grade builds your patio or installs your drainage. There's no handoff between contractors, which means better coordination and fewer mistakes.
From a simple yard leveling to full site prep for a new build, here's the range of earthwork we handle.
Re-establish proper slope and drainage grade across your yard. We use a skid steer and box blade to cut high spots, fill low spots, and create a consistent positive grade away from structures.
Clearing and grading a site before construction. We strip topsoil, establish subgrade elevation, and compact the base to the spec required for whatever structure or hardscape comes next.
Eroding hillsides, failed slopes, and rills caused by uncontrolled runoff. We regrade, add retaining measures, and address the drainage issue causing the erosion — not just the symptom.
DitchWitch trenching for utility lines, French drain pipe, downspout extensions, and irrigation. Cleaner and faster than hand digging, with minimal surface disturbance.
Excavation and subbase preparation for concrete slabs, paver patios, and outbuildings. Getting this right is what separates a long-lasting hardscape from one that sinks and fails.
Grading cost depends on how much material needs to move, the slope of the property, and equipment access. The following are general starting ranges — all projects are quoted after a site visit.

Skid steer regrading of a defined low spot or problem area
