Paver patio installation in Crossville & Cookeville TN — the most popular outdoor upgrade in Middle Tennessee. Find a paver installer near me? You just did. Durable, repairable, and more beautiful than poured concrete.

Cookeville, TN
Completed Paver Patio — 380 sq ft
In Middle Tennessee's climate — with hot summers and occasional hard freezes — pavers consistently outperform poured concrete over the long run.
Upfront Cost
Concrete: $8–$15/sq ft. Pavers: $15–$35/sq ft. Concrete is cheaper to install initially.
Freeze-Thaw Cracking
The Plateau's freeze-thaw cycles crack concrete slabs within years. Paver joints flex — no cracking.
Repairs
Cracked concrete requires full slab replacement. A settled paver is pulled up, reset, and done — no visible patch.
The pattern you choose affects the look, strength, and cost of the project. We'll help you pick the right one for your application.

Classic offset brick pattern. Most common for walkways and paths. Clean, timeless.

Interlocking 45° or 90° pattern. Stronger under vehicle traffic. Great for driveways.

Pairs of pavers in alternating directions. Traditional look for patios and courtyards.

Natural cut or irregular stone. Organic, upscale aesthetic for paths and patios.
The base is everything. Here's the step-by-step process behind every GleeWork paver installation.
We excavate 8–12" depending on application, remove all unstable material, and establish the correct grade and slope with a transit level. Every inch of drainage slope is intentional.
Dense-grade aggregate is installed in lifts of 2–3" and mechanically compacted with a plate compactor at each lift. This is where 90% of paver failures originate — we don't skip this step.
A 1" layer of coarse bedding sand is screeded to a perfectly level plane. This is the setting bed for the pavers — it must be consistent across the entire surface.
Pavers are laid to your chosen pattern with consistent joint spacing. Cuts are made with a wet saw for precision at edges, curves, and borders.
Spiked plastic or aluminum edge restraints are installed around the perimeter to lock the system. Polymeric sand is swept into joints, compacted, and activated with water — bonding the joints and blocking weeds.
